1. Phải có một kế hoạch
Trước khi đặt bút viết cover letter, hãy dành chút thời gian để lên ý tưởng, viết một bản nháp, liên tục xem lại và viết lại nhiều lần cho đến khi bạn thấy hài lòng. Đừng vội vàng đặt bút vào viết khi chưa có kế hoạch rõ ràng. Trong quá trình viết, bạn có thể . tham khảo ý kiến từ bạn bè, đồng nghiệp và những chuyên gia để bản Cover Letter chỉnh chu và chuyên nghiệp hơn. Và bạn đừng quên hoàn thành Cover Letter sớm để có thời gian bổ sung các thông tin trước khi nhấn nút “Apply”.
2. Một Cover letter chỉ dành cho một vị trí ứng tuyển
Với mỗi vị trí khác nhau, thì bạn cần những Cover Letter khác nhau. Nếu nhà tuyển dụng phát hiện Cover Letter của bạn có tình trạng “râu ông nọ cắm cằm bà kia”, hồ sơ của bạn sẽ bị loại ngay do đó bạn phải chú ý đến vấn đề này.
Bên cạnh đó, bạn có thể trình bày các sự kiện từng tham gia hoặc những người trong công ty mà bạn biết, nhà tuyển dụng chắc chắn sẽ rất ấn tượng với bạn. Nếu bạn chưa có cơ hội gặp các anh chị trong công ty, việc đề cập các dự án hoặc hoạt động của công ty mà bạn thấy ấn tượng cũng là một ý kiến hay.
3. Sắp xếp bố cục đúng chuẩn
Sáng tạo trong nội dung nhưng tránh phá mất bố cục chuẩn. Bố cục chuẩn gồm một đoạn mở đầu thư, 4 đoạn thuộc thân bài và một đoạn kết thư. Khi bạn trình bày bố cục rõ ràng, nhà tuyển dụng có thể nhanh chóng hiểu bạn muốn nói gì.
4. Làm nổi bật thành tích của bản thân
Cách gây ấn tượng tốt nhất với nhà tuyển dụng là bạn hãy làm nổi bật những kỹ năng, thành tích và thái độ chuyên nghiệp gắn liền với sự trung thực. Đây sẽ là những điểm sáng giúp bạn vượt qua hàng loạt ứng viên khác.
